Group Info

We are aiming at artists who combine Space art with Matte painting grain, style and techniques. It means using photographies, stocks, textures and merge everything together through digital painting and photomanipulation.
There must have an interaction between ground and sky and should portray a large scenic landscape background. It can be related to terraspace, sci-fi scenes, landscape and cityscape.
No spacescape as such.

About submitting

. Anyone can be a member, submit, or just can watch us.

. All submission will be subject to review.

. Landscape format is preferred but portrait format will be accepted if good.

. A space art scene as such, with no connection to a landscape, a mountain, a space ground, or a city should be declined. They are plenty of 100% Space Art groups here that will appreciate your work.

. A matte painting that has nothing to be related with space (such as planets, lasers, asteroids, stars, nebula, spaceship, starfields, etc...) science-fiction, or conceptual elements; and which only depicts traditional nature elements, landscape, cityscape, shipwreck, or else, should be declined.

. We really want to keep a certain quality -level in this group and highlight the strong artistic relationship that already exists between matte painters and space artists and vice versa.So don't be mad at us if we are a bit too selective or specific in what we accept or decline.

Be assured that your participation into the group through your art and submission will always be really welcome and appreciated.

Of course you can join and submit man but please have a look at our submission rules. Spacescape will be declined if not in relation with matte painting and landscape.

Heh yeah, it was a panaramic scene so I figured I could get away with more planets than a regular picture. The planets also meant to show depth in that picture. ^.^

Also, I think it is too wide, the closest planet on the right needs to be shaded a bit. But ti also seems that you have a light source coming from behind the 'camera' which gives the overall piece a sense of unrealistic lighting.
